not false accusers...

God's word is full of exhortations on this subject!  Our speech should be true and good...not sowing discord.

Ex 23:1  Thou shalt not raise a false report: put not thine hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness.

Ps 101:4 A froward heart shall depart from me: I will not know a wicked person. 5 Whoso privily slandereth his neighbour, him will I cut off: him that hath an high look and a proud heart will not I suffer.

Pr 10:18  He that hideth hatred with lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool. 19  In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise. 20  The tongue of the just is as choice silver: the heart of the wicked is little worth.  21 The lips of the righteous feed many: but fools die for want of wisdom.

Pr 12:17  He that speaketh truth sheweth forth righteousness: but a false witness deceit. 18  There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health. 19  The lip of truth shall be established for ever: but a lying tongue is but for a moment.

Pr 13:5  A righteous man hateth lying: but a wicked man is loathsome, and cometh to shame.

Pr 16:27  An ungodly man diggeth up evil: and in his lips there is as a burning fire.  28 A froward man soweth strife: and a whisperer separateth chief friends.

Pr 17:9  He that covereth a transgression seeketh love; but he that repeateth a matter separateth very friends.

Ro 1:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened......vs. 29  Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, 30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:  32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

2Ti 3:2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,  4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

Col 4:6 Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.

Eph 4:25 Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.
